The Gift of AV

Charitable giving

The ‘Gift of AV’ charity fund was launched in 2022 to represent industry-wide charitable fundraising challenges and events. It represents national and local charities across the UK and Ireland, raising £290K to date. As well as much needed funds, the ‘Gift of AV’ provides charitable organisations or community groups with sponsorship and donations of AV products and technologies.

More than just running, Tough Mudder creates hardcore obstacle courses designed to test your all around strength, stamina and mental grit. With the most innovative 15K courses, our team of 15 completed the course raising £6800.

Yorkshire Three Peaks

Yorkshire Three Peaks

A 24-mile (38.6km) round trip route that includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent. Ingleborough, Whernside, Pen-y-ghent. We had a team of 32 complete this including our vendor and customer partners. The team fundraised £20k.

Footy Fest

We partnered with the Fulham Foundation Charity raising £10k for their ‘More Than A Game’ campaign aiming to build better lives through sport. 12 teams entered the 7-aside tournament with our customer, Softcat running out winners.

Tour de AV

Tour de AV

A gruelling 217km cycle challenge. We hosted our third and final annual ride in 2024 which has seen 70 riders take part from across the AV industry, raising £50k for charity.

Pen Y Fan Challenge

Pen Y Fan Challenge

A 13-mile trail run taking in Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. Our team of 3 raised £5k for the Noak’s Ark Childrens Hospital.

London Marathon

As part of our partnership with Cancer Research UK, staff registered for a chance to run the marathon for the charity. In 2024, our three runners raised £14k.

Volunteering stories

Our UK and Ireland teams donated 450 hours of volunteering to support local communities in 2024. From creating biodiverse greenspaces for staff to enjoy, to conservation projects with local Wildlife Trusts, and working with hospices, our teams have been hands-on making an impact.

These projects are aligned to our Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

A group of colleagues based in Bracknell participated in the annual Bracknell Tidy Up, joining forces with other local businesses to give back to the community. By dedicating part of their day to the cause, they helped collect over 40 bags of rubbish, making a positive impact on the local environment.

Buckler's Forest

Two colleagues based in Bracknell volunteered with Involve Community, joining a group of local volunteers in Bucklers Forest. Together, they spent the day recording and searching for specific species, with the aim of tracking biodiversity and preserving vital habitats and species for the future.

Garden House Hospice

17 colleagues from Letchworth volunteered over four days at the Garden House Hospice, dedicated more than 86 hours of their time in total. Some groups worked in the garden, whilst others assisted at the depot, helping support the hospice and its valuable service for the local community.

One of our colleagues in the Diss office organised an Advent Calendar Appeal, collecting donations to brighten the festive season for children staying at the Jenny Lind Hospital. This thoughtful gesture helped spread holiday cheer to the young patients during their time in care.

20 colleagues based in Diss spent two days at The Nook, one of East Anglia Children's Hospice locations. They volunteered their time to refurbish fences and furniture, helping improve the facilities and create a more welcoming environment for the children and families the hospice supports.

Seven colleagues based in Diss spent the day at Weeting Heath, a remarkable nature reserve on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. With support from the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, they helped preserve the diverse Breckland flora and protect grazing livestock, contributing to the conversation of this unique ecosystem.

A group of 20 colleagues in Diss took part in the Big South Norfolk Litter Pick, dedicating 42 hours in total to help conserve the hedgerows and streets around the office. Their efforts made a positive impact on the local environment, keeping the area cleaner and more sustainable.

The team in Stansted welcomed the Sports Connection Foundation Children's Charity to their showroom, providing work experience for six students. The team inspired these young individuals to dream big and aim high, helping shape their future aspirations.

A team of 18 from our Diss office dedicated two days to kicking off stage one of our project to create a biodiverse green space. They worked hard planting, digging and staining our memorial benches, bringing the project's vision to life.
